About
As a Christian counselor with a background in nursing, I will help you understand the mind-body connection and how God can provide healing in every area of your life – physically, emotionally, mentally, relationally, and spiritually. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, abuse, women’s issues related to pregnancy or motherhood, or other concerns, I would be honored to walk with you toward healing and hope. In the gospels, we see Jesus always loving others first. It’s this love and acceptance that I believe helps individuals feel seen and heard. I look forward to seeing you grow and flourish, with His help.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goal is to create an environment where you feel free and comfortable sharing the most vulnerable aspects of your life, knowing you won’t be judged or scrutinized. I want you to know you have someone who is rooting for you and has your best interests at heart. I believe creating this environment is of utmost importance so you can truly bring those areas of darkness to light and take the initial steps toward healing and growth.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I will spend time learning about you, your story, your daily routine, and what works best for you in terms of habits and coping skills in order to determine which treatment plan will work best with your lifestyle. We will then work together to create attainable and realistic goals that you can start implementing in small increments. As we continue the therapeutic process, we will work toward increasing those habits and skills to achieve the positive changes you want to see in your life.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
I believe the addition of Christian faith in sessions provides a basis for truth and Christian values to structure our sessions around, which can be very comforting. There is a lot of hope found in having a God who is stronger than we are and can lift us up in times of struggle and hopelessness when we can’t find the strength in ourselves.
I believe the more we learn about the connection between our minds and bodies and how they work, the more in awe we become of how God created us. However, as a result of living in a broken world, we can experience emotional and relational issues. Together we will find ways to turn to God and His ways for healing and grace.
