About
As a veteran with more than eight years of experience in mental health, I will tailor each session to ensure your concerns are being met. Whether you’re facing trauma, relationship concerns, addiction, anxiety, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life, I’ll meet you with respect and without judgment. As your counselor, I’ll help you understand how stress, trauma, and other difficult experiences have influenced your emotions and relationships while teaching practical skills you can use every day to improve your overall well-being. Together we’ll explore what has brought you to this point, identify practical next steps, and invite God into the healing process.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My desire is to help you better understand how your past experiences have shaped your present so you can respond differently moving forward. As you learn to regulate your emotions, overcome trauma, strengthen your relationship with Christ, and develop healthier patterns, my hope is that you’ll experience lasting freedom and become a light to those around you.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a judgment-free space where you can seek the Lord’s help in regaining control over your life, emotions, and walk with Christ. Counseling isn’t just about feeling better for a little while. Long-lasting healing involves building a life that reflects and embraces the freedom found in Christ. As we work together, we’ll continually return to the truth of who God says you are, seeking to grow in our understanding of how God is working in your life and fixing our gaze on the beauty of Christ.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
My approach to Christian counseling is non-judgmental, person-centered, and focused on the fruits of the Spirit. Much of my work is grounded in the TARGET (Trauma Affect Regulation: Guide for Education and Therapy) model because trauma touches every life in different ways. I also draw from other evidence-based approaches when they best fit your needs. Throughout our work together, you’ll find a place where honest conversations are welcomed, thoughtful questions are encouraged, and God’s truth remains an integral part of the process.
