About
It is a joy and privilege for me to be able to work with individuals and families through therapy. One of my goals as a Christian therapist is to bring others to a place of healing, peace, and understanding about who God has made them to be and how He has equipped them to navigate through life. Using a variety of therapeutic techniques grounded in God’s Word, I will help you establish new patterns and processes to promote lasting, positive change in your life. With God’s grace and strength, you can overcome the challenges you face and find hope and peace.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goal as a Christian counselor is to help individuals, couples, and families navigate through life’s ups and downs using biblically-based therapies and techniques. I want to help you achieve emotional and spiritual health, gain a fresh perspective on current circumstances, and develop tools that leave you well-equipped to thrive in life. As each situation is unique, I will offer an individualized treatment plan to meet your needs and goals. My hope is for you to walk away from counseling feeling equipped and spiritually grounded.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can be seen and heard, be appropriately challenged when needed, and be comforted through hard times. I believe the things learned in therapy must be translatable to everyday life in order to create lasting change. At-home assignments and the development of healthy coping skills will be individualized to fit the needs of each client. As a therapist, I will continually evaluate what tools are working and when new tactics need to be applied.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
Every therapeutic approach I use is first and foremost steeped in biblical truth and will incorporate Scripture, prayer, and other spiritual disciplines to promote personal and spiritual growth. As a Christian therapist, I believe Christian counseling must be filtered through the truth of Scripture. That must start with me as the clinician; I must remain grounded in the Word of God daily. As we meet in session, I will seek to gain an understanding of what you already believe about God. Even if you don’t feel like you are in a good place with God, our time together can promote health and healing.
