About

My desire is for every client that works with me to feel that they are surrounded by God’s grace. I will walk beside you with a positive attitude and without judgment, even in the most difficult times in your life, offering clinical tools and biblical encouragement to support you both emotionally and spiritually. Whatever you are going through, just know that God did not put all of these people on Earth for anyone to have to go through anything alone. There is help, and I would be honored to be part of your journey.

My Goal as a Christian Counselor

My goal is to help you grow in mental and emotional health, strengthen your relationships, and deepen your walk with God. Through our time together, my hope is for you to be able to see God for yourself within your daily life. My aim is for you to move toward freedom and healing with God’s help and direction, grow stronger, and continue to make progress once therapy comes to an end.

What I Offer in Christian Counseling

I offer tools and guidance to help you move beyond symptoms to true spiritual and emotional renewal. In our sessions we will take steps to change your thought process to a positive one that helps you feel better and look at things from a different perspective. Clients can expect positive energy, biblical reverence, prayer, and someone to walk beside them as they work to overcome their difficulties.

My Approach to Christian Counseling

My approach to Christian counseling is simple: I meet people where they are in their walk with Christ. I assess where they would like to be, explore their willingness to change if change is needed, and help them to discover how their actions either line up with their beliefs or need to change.

Biography

Qualifications & Experience

I have been in the counseling field for over twenty years. I hold a BA in English and Criminal Justice from Oklahoma City University and an MS in Criminal Justice Management and Administration from University of Central Oklahoma. I earned my Master’s of Science in Social Work from University of Texas at Arlington and am currently working toward my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Walden University, with an expected graduation date in February 2029. I also have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).

My Call to Christian Counseling

I have had situational depression in the past and had to seek out counseling. I was thankful for my therapist and feel that I can relate to others who might be struggling. I want to provide my clients with tools to help them through the difficult times they are facing and encourage them to keep pushing forward to reach the goals they have set for themselves. I prefer Christian counseling because I know that it was no one but God who carried me through my own storms, and I believe He can do the same for others as well.

More About Me On a Personal Note

I am a daredevil. I love adventurous activities; almost anything water-related, I am there. I love parasailing, cliff repelling, traveling, swimming, attending live plays and operas, amusement parks, going to church, and being a children’s leader. My favorite activities are hosting gatherings and spending time with my family or going on vacations with them.

Anger Management

I want to begin by acknowledging that reaching out for help is not always easy, and taking this step matters. In our work together, you will have space to explore your anger without fear of judgment. The goal is to understand where your anger comes from, what may be fueling it beneath the surface, and how your thoughts and emotions are connected. From there, you can begin to develop healthier ways to respond when something or someone triggers anger.

Depression

Taking the step to pursue counseling for depression is significant, and it reflects a desire for change and healing. You are not meant to walk through this alone. Together, we will explore what depression looks like in your day-to-day life and how it may differ from how things used to feel. You will be invited to consider what you hope could be different, even imagining what life might look like if meaningful change began to take place. The process is not always easy, and there may be days that require persistence and support from both your faith and others around you. Over time, the goal is to move toward renewed hope and a greater sense of purpose in each day.

Premarital Counseling

Premarital counseling offers an opportunity to prepare for a meaningful and lasting marriage. As you step into this new season, you can expect both joy and challenge along the way. If faith is an important part of your relationship, it can become a strong foundation for the work you do together. Counseling provides space to explore your understanding of marriage, your expectations, and how you relate to one another. You will also gain practical tools to help navigate difficult moments with intention and unity as you embark on this lifelong partnership.

Marriage Counseling

Choosing to pursue marriage counseling is a meaningful step toward strengthening your relationship. When working through conflict, it is helpful to begin by understanding the story of your relationship. Reflecting on how you met, what drew you to each other, and what the early days of your marriage felt like can bring valuable insight. From there, you can begin to recognize when patterns began to shift and what may have contributed to those changes. This process often leads to learning how to communicate with greater intention, listen more effectively, and better understand each other’s needs within the relationship.

Aging and Geriatric Issues

Transitioning into retirement or later stages of life can bring unexpected challenges, especially when long-held roles begin to change. It is natural to reflect on identity, purpose, and what comes next. Counseling offers a space to explore what this transition has been like for you and how your previous roles in work, family, and community have shaped your sense of self. While this season may feel uncertain, it can also become a time of rediscovery. Together, you can identify what brings meaning and enjoyment now and begin to build a life that feels fulfilling in this new chapter.
