No matter what you’re going through, there is hope. With over 20 years of experience, I offer Christian counseling for teens, couples, and adult individuals facing a variety of challenges, including trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and much more. God is a God of restoration and healing – physically, emotionally, mentally, relationally, and spiritually. My hope is that through our time together, you will come to see that peace comes from the Lord and is not based on circumstances. I will walk alongside you and offer a comfortable, confidential space where you will be seen, heard, and never judged.

About

You have a God-given purpose, and your identity is rooted in Christ – not the expectations of this world. As your counselor, my hope is for you to gain new, healthy perspectives to overcome your challenges and the skills to grow even more resilient. Anything can be managed, and you are never stuck. I will give you the therapeutic tools to manage the symptoms and circumstances you are struggling with. My aim is for you to learn to walk in freedom, have faith over fear, and see yourself the way God sees you.

My Goal as a Christian Counselor

My goal is to provide a confidential, compassionate space where you can be open and honest and explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My heart is to walk alongside your healing journey to help you realize your identity in Christ and begin to see yourself and the world the way God sees you. I hope you will grow in resilience and experience freedom, peace, comfort, healing, and new perspectives.

What I Offer in Christian Counseling

I offer a place for you to feel acknowledged, seen, heard, validated, and never judged. I generally like to begin in the present and look at your current functioning, what brought you to therapy, and consider which skills could provide some immediate relief. As we’re doing this, we will also begin to explore the root causes of your concerns. I believe my job is to help you explore your beliefs and, at times, challenge your perspectives using therapeutic techniques and Scripture. I will be there to walk alongside you on your journey and shine a light on things you may not see.

My Approach to Christian Counseling

God is the only One who can bring complete healing, comfort, and peace. Without the Word of God and knowledge of who He is, there will always be a void that cannot be filled. Secular views and therapy can be very helpful in providing tools to manage, but God brings the freedom and healing to our core. Many of the therapeutic modalities I use are founded on biblical principles. The foundation of my work and belief system is rooted in Scripture and who I know God to be.

Biography

Qualifications & Experience

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado Christian University and my Master of Social Work degree from University of Denver. I also hold a PMH-C Perinatal Mental Health Certificate (PMH-C).

My Call to Christian Counseling

I have always loved listening to people and helping them walk through difficult things. I knew since I was a child that I would be in a helping profession of some kind, and my time in college and grad school solidified that a career in social work and counseling was the right fit.

More About Me/On a Personal Note

I have been married for over 20 years and have five children ranging from 4-17. When I’m not working, most of my time revolves around my family and their activities. I love watching my kids grow and do the things they love. They are all very active in sports, which takes a lot of time, but we love it. We love to travel and experience new things together when we have the time.

Women’s Issues

As women, we face unique challenges that can deeply affect our emotional, physical, relational, and spiritual well-being. We are often balancing so many different roles and expectations. I believe it is important to explore those expectations and where they are coming from in order to re-evaluate and hold on to only those that align with our values and goals. Whether you are navigating identity, self-worth, life transitions, past trauma, or the pressures of managing multiple roles, I offer a confidential, compassionate space where you can feel seen and heard. My heart is to walk with you as you discover your value, purpose, and identity in Christ and empower you to walk in the freedom only He can offer.

Trauma

Trauma is a deeply individualized experience affecting the whole person – emotionally, physically, and spiritually. In a welcoming, compassionate environment, we will explore your experiences in a gentle way and always at your pace. I believe that although trauma can have lasting effects, you can begin to heal, overcome, and experience freedom. Trauma does not have to define who you are. By using evidence-based therapeutic approaches grounded in the Word of God, we can work toward restoring your sense of safety, identity, and hope. Our God is a God of restoration.

Depression

Depression can feel very isolating and overwhelming. It can affect all aspects of our daily functioning and leave us feeling hopeless. I believe healing is a journey and involves addressing the whole person – mind, body, and spirit. By integrating proven therapeutic methods with the principles and truth found in Scripture, we can build coping strategies and get to the root of the pain. By allowing the Holy Spirit to guide the healing journey, you can find hope and joy again.

Anxiety

Anxiety can affect us physically, mentally, and emotionally. Anxiety is our body’s way of telling us that something is out of alignment, and oftentimes, the cause is rooted in fear. By listening to our bodies and aligning ourselves with the truth of God’s Word, we can overcome fear and find the peace that only comes from the Lord. My role as your therapist is to help you on the journey to explore and realign what has become off balance.

Grief and Loss

Going through a significant loss can change you and how you walk through life. As Christians, we have a unique perspective on loss that offers a deep sense of peace and hope. Whether you are mourning the loss of a loved one, a relationship ending, or a life transition, I will offer a safe space where your pain is acknowledged and healing can begin. Through the use of therapeutic techniques and the promises found in Scripture, you can experience comfort in the midst of sorrow. My desire is for you to learn to navigate the journey of grief in a meaningful way.

Women’s Perinatal Mental Health

As a therapist specializing in perinatal mental health, I support women navigating the challenges that can arise during conception, pregnancy, postpartum, and the parenting journey. Whether you are experiencing fertility challenges, anxiety, depression, birth trauma, or a loss, you do not have to face this alone. The transition into motherhood can be overwhelming, but I am here to support you along the way. I offer a compassionate space where your experiences will be acknowledged and validated as we work toward healing and resilience. My goal is to help you feel empowered to embrace your new role as a mother and learn how to integrate that into your God-given identity.
