About
You have a God-given purpose, and your identity is rooted in Christ – not the expectations of this world. As your counselor, my hope is for you to gain new, healthy perspectives to overcome your challenges and the skills to grow even more resilient. Anything can be managed, and you are never stuck. I will give you the therapeutic tools to manage the symptoms and circumstances you are struggling with. My aim is for you to learn to walk in freedom, have faith over fear, and see yourself the way God sees you.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goal is to provide a confidential, compassionate space where you can be open and honest and explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My heart is to walk alongside your healing journey to help you realize your identity in Christ and begin to see yourself and the world the way God sees you. I hope you will grow in resilience and experience freedom, peace, comfort, healing, and new perspectives.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a place for you to feel acknowledged, seen, heard, validated, and never judged. I generally like to begin in the present and look at your current functioning, what brought you to therapy, and consider which skills could provide some immediate relief. As we’re doing this, we will also begin to explore the root causes of your concerns. I believe my job is to help you explore your beliefs and, at times, challenge your perspectives using therapeutic techniques and Scripture. I will be there to walk alongside you on your journey and shine a light on things you may not see.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
God is the only One who can bring complete healing, comfort, and peace. Without the Word of God and knowledge of who He is, there will always be a void that cannot be filled. Secular views and therapy can be very helpful in providing tools to manage, but God brings the freedom and healing to our core. Many of the therapeutic modalities I use are founded on biblical principles. The foundation of my work and belief system is rooted in Scripture and who I know God to be.
