We currently have 5 counselors in Rockwall
I work with individuals of all ages and couples facing a wide range of challenges, including trauma and PTSD, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, spiritual struggles, and much more. Learning to set boundaries is one of the best skills we have to help love ourselves and others better. As your therapist, I will come alongside you to create a space where you can feel comfortable working through even the most difficult parts of your life, with God’s grace and strength.
Having served as a pastor for 30 years, my passion is to help people overcome the difficulties they are facing in life. Whether you’re looking for counseling for teens, adult individuals, or couples, together we will work to find the core of your concerns and develop a plan to overcome them, with God’s help. As a Christian counselor, I will pray for you and encourage you to become the person God has created you to be. In our sessions you can expect to be treated with respect, compassion, and the love of God. My aim is for you to leave each session having taken positive steps in your healing process.
As a Christian Counselor, I strive to treat each client with compassion, kindness, respect, and encouragement. Your needs are valued – by me and by God. The Lord Jesus wants you to be at peace and have joy in the midst of your trials and tribulations, with His help and enabling. As a faith-based therapist, I believe Christ is the answer for all mental wellness and healing. I am honored to serve as a vessel He uses, recognizing that He is the ultimate counselor. No matter what you are facing, you will be accepted in our sessions as we work together toward the healing and restoration God provides.
Life is not always easy, and we all struggle at times. The good news is that Jesus Christ can take our mess and turn it into something that is beautiful. He can take the hardest moments of our lives and turn them into growth opportunities to experience peace, joy, and a purpose. Even through pain, trials, and tribulations, we can find hope in the Lord. As your therapist, I will walk with you through the trials you are facing and help you find realistic solutions, relying on God for direction and guidance for your path.
If you’re searching for a therapist to guide you through processing trauma, navigating challenging relationships, overcoming symptoms of depression or anxiety, working through abandonment issues, or coping with other concerns, I would be happy to help. Using a compassionate, collaborative approach, I will partner with you to take steps toward your overall physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Clients will also benefit from my practice being supervised by Robin Ford, LPC-S. One of my goals is to create space for the Lord to provide the lasting healing and renewed perspective that can only come from His presence at work in your life.
With 22 years of mental health experience, I offer compassionate Christian counseling for couples, children, teen, adult individuals, and families. My hope is that through our time together, you will feel renewed, refreshed, and recharged. Overcoming life difficulties is possible with God’s help. As Romans 12:2 states, transformation occurs by the renewal of the mind. I would be honored to come alongside you during your transformation to provide support, compassion, and all I’ve learned from my years of experience. Some areas that I specialize in include grief, anxiety, depression, blended families, caring for aging parents, and divorce.
I offer compassionate Christian counseling for teens and adult individuals facing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and more. I would be honored to come alongside you, listen to your story, and seek to understand your world as we determine the best treatment plan for your needs. As your advocate, I will walk with you through whatever you may be facing and strive to show you Christ’s love along the way. I believe the counseling process is collaborative and look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
Life brings joy as well as sorrow, frustration, and disappointments. By God’s grace, He does not leave us alone. He offers a peace that passes understanding and support through brothers and sisters in Christ. When times are difficult and your struggles seem unmanageable, I offer a safe place for you to go – a place for you to share your story and navigate what the next steps might look like. My passion is to provide effective tools for you to use throughout life so you can see clearly through the clouds of despair, allowing God's peace to intercede and work in your life as your mind and heart are open to Him.
My aim is for you to feel validated, heard, and understood and to receive compassionate, knowledgeable care that reflects the love of Christ. I have dedicated the last five years to working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety and more. I currently offer faith-based counseling for children, teens, adult individuals, couples, and families both online and in-person.
I believe that every person is immeasurably valuable, unique, and made in the image of God. Sometimes having a compassionate therapist who will create a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to share your emotional burdens can be the greatest catalyst for personal change and growth. I am committed to giving my clients 100% of my attention, energy, and effort, because you are loved, valued, and important to God, and to me as a therapist. I am also supervised by an extremely compassionate and gifted therapist, Dr. Marshia Allen, PsyD, LPC-S, who has over 15 years of experience in the mental health field and consults with me weekly on my present clients. Taking the first step of reaching out to a counselor can seem like the most difficult, but it may also be the decision that leads to life-changing growth, healing, and discovery.
As your counselor, I will meet you wherever you are and walk alongside you toward growth and positive change. I offer professional Christian counseling for children, teens, couples, adult individuals, families, and groups. My practice benefits from the exceptional supervision of Jason Brown, MS, LPC Supervisor, who is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Others have described me as having a genuine, warm personality and I sincerely enjoy building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients. Whether you’re dealing with depression, relationship issues, chemical dependency, anxiety, trauma, anger, or other concerns, I would be honored to listen to your story and work with you to develop an effective treatment plan to best meet your needs and goals.
