As your counselor, I will meet you wherever you are and walk alongside you toward growth and positive change. I offer professional Christian counseling for children, teens, couples, adult individuals, families, and groups. My practice benefits from the exceptional supervision of Jason Brown, MS, LPC Supervisor, who is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Others have described me as having a genuine, warm personality and I sincerely enjoy building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients. Whether you’re dealing with depression, relationship issues, chemical dependency, anxiety, trauma, anger, or other concerns, I would be honored to listen to your story and work with you to develop an effective treatment plan to best meet your needs and goals.
I offer compassionate Christian counseling for teens and adult individuals facing a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and more. I would be honored to come alongside you, listen to your story, and seek to understand your world as we determine the best treatment plan for your needs. As your advocate, I will walk with you through whatever you may be facing and strive to show you Christ’s love along the way. I believe the counseling process is collaborative and look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
As a Christian counselor, my practice is guided first and foremost by my faith and commitment to being a disciple of the Lord. Clients will benefit from my trauma-informed expertise and extensive experience working with high-conflict cases. I especially enjoy partnering with teens, young adults, and their families as they navigate difficult transitions and emerging adulthood. In our time together, I’ll use a client-centered approach to help you build upon your intrinsic strengths, offering guidance, support, and prayer along the way.
You are not alone. Asking for help does not mean you are weak; it is actually a sign of great strength. It can take a lot of courage to admit our struggles, but if you take that leap, I truly believe God will open your eyes to a community of people who want to support you – including me as your therapist. I offer a confidential, welcoming space where you can share and process your emotional and spiritual battles without judgment or bias. My mission is to help you understand the cause of your struggles while supporting you in your healing journey, always keeping grace at the forefront.
With 22 years of mental health experience, I offer compassionate Christian counseling for couples, children, teens, adult individuals, and families. My hope is that through our time together, you will feel renewed, refreshed, and recharged. Overcoming life difficulties is possible with God’s help. As Romans 12:2 states, transformation occurs by the renewal of the mind. I would be honored to come alongside you during your transformation to provide support, compassion, and all I’ve learned from my years of experience. Some areas that I specialize in include grief, anxiety, depression, blended families, caring for aging parents, and divorce.
Counseling is my true passion in life. The opportunity to step into vulnerable places with people is a privilege that I approach with great humility and sensitivity. I understand that it is not easy and can be uncomfortable to expose the places we are hurting. It is for this reason that my standard is to treat every client with the same amount of sensitivity and care that I myself would want. It is in my heart to treat my clients no less than family. My desire is to form a relationship of trust, respect, and enlightenment. Clients will also benefit from my practice being supervised by Penny Haight, LPC-S, a clinical supervisor with over ten years of experience in mental health who specializes in a solution-focused approach.
I believe no situation is too hopeless to be redeemed. Even in the darkest of times, there is hope. I am for you. With God’s enabling, I will do everything in my power to help you live out the purpose God has called you to. I want you to know that I hear you, see you, and want the best for you. My goal is for you to feel comfortable fully addressing the areas you may have been too afraid to address as we step boldly into the unique and divine reason God has created you to be who you are.
As your counselor, I will meet you exactly where you are with unconditional compassion to help you navigate life’s trials and challenges. No matter where you are in your relationship with God, I offer a safe space to be heard in all situations. My ultimate goal is to display the love of Christ to each individual who enters the therapy room, no matter their past, their religion, or their trials. Clients will also benefit from my work being supervised by marriage and family therapist Monica Marterella, MS, LMFT-S, LPC-S. With kindness and a nonjudgmental presence, I will work with you to create a treatment plan to help you meet your goals and experience the growth God has planned for you.
I believe that every person is immeasurably valuable, unique, and made in the image of God. Sometimes having a compassionate therapist who will create a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to share your emotional burdens can be the greatest catalyst for personal change and growth. I am committed to giving my clients 100% of my attention, energy, and effort, because you are loved, valued, and important to God, and to me as a therapist. I am also supervised by an extremely compassionate and gifted therapist, Dr. Marshia Allen, PsyD, LPC-S, who has over 15 years of experience in the mental health field and consults with me weekly on my present clients. Taking the first step of reaching out to a counselor can seem like the most difficult, but it may also be the decision that leads to life-changing growth, healing, and discovery.
My aim is for you to feel validated, heard, and understood and to receive compassionate, knowledgeable care that reflects the love of Christ. I have dedicated the last five years to working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety and more. I currently offer faith-based counseling for children, teens, adult individuals, couples, and families both online and in-person.
With over 20 years of experience counseling teens, couples, and adult individuals, I will provide a calm and patient atmosphere for your healing. I have been married for 22 years and have two teenage daughters. In a world of stress and chaos, my desire is for you to get through the rougher parts of life with a strength, hope, and peace that only God can provide. Whether you’re looking for premarital counseling, marriage therapy, individual counseling for teens or adults related to depression, anxiety, or other concerns, I am here to help. According to Galatians 6:2, as believers, we are to “carry each other’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” I would be honored to help relieve your burdens through proven therapeutic techniques that respect your faith and values.
As a counselor, my heart is to help teens and adult individuals work through challenging circumstances and see those difficulties in light of God’s heart for them. I believe that healing comes through Christ alone and that the Lord draws near to those who are brokenhearted and makes His presence known to them. My practice also benefits from the wisdom and experience of my supervisor, Julie Northam, MS, LPC-S. I believe that beginning the counseling process is one that takes immense courage and strength and I am eager to see how the Lord works in your life during this season.
I believe that addiction doesn't have to be hopeless. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), my intention is to help men and women, through a Christ-centered approach, in healing themselves and their relationship with God. Grace and compassion will be given as you explore what sobriety means to you, identify barriers to sobriety, and form relationships with new people who will support you in recovery. My primary goal is not years of talk therapy; instead, my goal is to help you feel confident and good about life. Recovery is possible.
