With 20 years of pastoral ministry and counseling experience, I am passionate about providing compassionate support grounded in Scripture to children, teens, adult individuals, couples, and families. As your counselor, my desire is for you to find hope and healing in whatever challenges you are walking through. You are not alone! Whether facing personal struggles or relationship issues or seeking spiritual guidance, we can work together on your journey toward hope, healing, and transformation, with God’s help and direction.
I believe no one should struggle alone and I commend anyone with the courage to reach out for help. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I offer faith-based therapy for teens, adult individuals, and couples. With empathy, transparency, and honesty, my aim is to act as a professional mentor to guide you through life’s challenges. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship issues, or other concerns, I would be honored to join you wherever you are on life’s journey as you search to find peace and restoration.
Throughout our lives, challenges arise that may be beyond our ability to overcome. Everyone needs a safe space, support, and, at times, guidance to work through those challenges. My goal and purpose is to provide that space and support to help you navigate through life and find solutions that work for you. I offer effective tools to help you address anxiety, trauma, substance use, depressive disorders, and other concerns and challenges that life can throw into the mix. One day at a time, we will work through the emotional and mental battles that may be derailing you from living your best life, with God’s help.
Having served as a pastor for 30 years, my passion is to help people overcome the difficulties they are facing in life. Clients will benefit from my practice being supervised by Dr. Greg Stewart, PhD, MDiv, LPC-S, License Number 76329. Whether you’re looking for counseling for teens, adult individuals, or couples, together we will work to find the core of your concerns and develop a plan to overcome them, with God’s help. As a Christian counselor, I will pray for you and encourage you to become the person God has created you to be. In our sessions you can expect to be treated with respect, compassion, and the love of God. My aim is for you to leave each session having taken positive steps in your healing process.
As your therapist, I will be there for you and listen to you and your concerns. When we go through challenges in life, we can feel alone. Sometimes it helps just to have someone with whom you can talk things through. With kindness and empathy, I will listen to your perspective and help you understand what you are feeling, why you are feeling that way, and how you can overcome any unwanted or unhelpful emotions. My practice is enhanced by the supervision of Gene Benedict, LPC-S, a marriage and family therapist with over 30 years of experience who specializes in resolving relationship issues from a systems perspective. As a follower of Jesus, I will seek to share with you the love of Christ and the enduring truths from His Word that offer us lasting hope.
As a counselor, my heart is to help individuals work through challenging circumstances and see those difficulties in light of God’s heart for them. I believe that healing comes through Christ alone and that the Lord draws near to those who are brokenhearted and makes His presence known to them. My practice also benefits from the wisdom and experience of my supervisor, Julie Northam, MS, LPC-S. I believe that beginning the counseling process is one that takes immense courage and strength and I am eager to see how the Lord works in your life during this season.
I work with individuals of all ages and couples facing a wide range of challenges, including trauma and PTSD, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, spiritual struggles, and much more. Learning to set boundaries is one of the best skills we have to help love ourselves and others better. As your therapist, I will come alongside you to create a space where you can feel comfortable working through even the most difficult parts of your life, with God’s grace and strength.
My aim is for you to feel validated, heard, and understood and to receive compassionate, knowledgeable care that reflects the love of Christ. I have dedicated the last five years to working with individuals struggling with eating disorders, trauma, abuse, depression, anxiety and more. I currently offer faith-based counseling for children, teens, adult individuals, couples, and families both online and in-person.
I am a faith-based therapist with more than 30 years of experience providing help to clients whatever their needs may be. I have worked with families, couples, and adults facing a breadth of concerns including symptoms of depression, medical crises, grief, abandonment, anger issues, difficult diagnoses – any of life's challenges. I welcome all people and promise to show each individual the compassion and care you deserve. I understand that coming for therapy can sometimes feel frightening. I give you my word that I will treat you with dignity and respect regardless of your needs.
Our God has tender-hearted compassion for those who are hurting, grieving, and afflicted (Isaiah 61:1-4). Do you find yourself in one of those places currently? No matter your circumstance, you can know with certainty that God wants you to be free from your pain and suffering. With empathy and a non-judgmental spirit, I will sit with you and listen to your story. Together we will determine the best path forward for your needs. In my practice, clients will also benefit from the influence of my supervisor, Glenna Massey, LPC-S, an EMDR-certified therapist with training in Gottman Couples Therapy and neurobiology.
I believe that every person is immeasurably valuable, unique, and made in the image of God. Sometimes having a compassionate therapist who will create a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to share your emotional burdens can be the greatest catalyst for personal change and growth. I am committed to giving my clients 100% of my attention, energy, and effort, because you are loved, valued, and important to God, and to me as a therapist. I am also supervised by an extremely compassionate and gifted therapist, Dr. Marshia Allen, PsyD, LPC-S, who has over 15 years of experience in the mental health field and consults with me weekly on my present clients. Taking the first step of reaching out to a counselor can seem like the most difficult, but it may also be the decision that leads to life-changing growth, healing, and discovery.
Life can be difficult. At times it can be overwhelming, leaving you feeling lost, confused, and alone. I provide an avenue to talk through your pain, trauma, relationship issues, and belonging in a non-threatening, safe environment to provide clarity and perspective. My goal is to help you address the issues of the heart and provide comfort during life’s challenges through prayer, truth in love, and learning to apply biblical tools to everyday life. My clients will also benefit from the supervision I receive from Meredith A. Ivey, LPC-S, RPT-S, a licensed supervisor with more than 18 years of clinical experience. I would be honored to walk beside you on your journey of discovery and healing.
As your counselor, I will meet you wherever you are and walk alongside you toward growth and positive change. I offer professional Christian counseling for children, teens, couples, adult individuals, families, and groups. My practice benefits from the exceptional supervision of Jason Brown, MS, LPC Supervisor, who is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Others have described me as having a genuine, warm personality and I sincerely enjoy building a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients. Whether you’re dealing with depression, relationship issues, chemical dependency, anxiety, trauma, anger, or other concerns, I would be honored to listen to your story and work with you to develop an effective treatment plan to best meet your needs and goals.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with more than fifteen years of counseling experience, I offer a compassionate, welcoming space where you can share your concerns and learn effective techniques to overcome. Drawing from both personal and professional experience, I can relate to many of the struggles that my clients face and I am here as an example and a testimony that the best is yet to come in the freedom that can only be found in Jesus Christ. I look forward to seeing how the Lord uses your counseling journey to usher light and hope into your life. “You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light.” – Psalm 18:28
Life is not always easy, and we all struggle at times. The good news is that Jesus Christ can take our mess and turn it into something that is beautiful. He can take the hardest moments of our lives and turn them into growth opportunities to experience peace, joy, and a purpose. Even through pain, trials, and tribulations, we can find hope in the Lord. Clients will benefit from the supervision I receive from Wylie Martin, LPC-S, a clinical supervisor with expertise in Christian counseling, rehabilitative services, clinical diagnosis, clinical case management, and more. As your therapist, I will walk with you through the trials you are facing and help you find realistic solutions, relying on God for direction and guidance for your path.
